The Fitness Diva - Strong Mind, Strong Body E book

I'm kicking off the New Year like this:

strong mind strong body

...With my very first e Book, part of a series of e Books that will help you to tackle the weight loss and fitness thing once and for all!
This first one is not a lengthy book, but it gets right down to the basics of what you need to do to get yourself completely focused and ready to tackle not only weight and fitness issues, but anything else that life might throw at you!

Here is the link: The Fitness Diva - Strong Mind, Strong Body

Stay tuned, because I'm getting ready to roll out a few things in 2010. Aside from my e book series, I also have a hard cover book about to drop. Of course, I will be posting about it here when it does, so stay tuned!

Starting the New Year up and running!

Take care everyone, Happy New Year, and keep on stopping by! ;)

Belly Dance Brooklyn Style!

I had the pleasure of seeing the ever beautiful Coco put on a belly dance show while attending a Holistic Health celebration in Harlem. Coco is a dance teacher at the Brooklyn Dance Center in New York. This is how Brooklynites get down with the belly dancing.... Enjoy! ;)

OK, Conejo is not "Conejo"....or What I Thought it Was!

So, there I was, moseying along in the meat section of my local supermarket yesterday, and basically flipped out when I saw this:

Now, you tell me what YOU think it is upon first glance??? Hmmmmmm?
I couldn't believe it!! I HAD to take a closer look! I pick it up, turn it around in my hands, examining it closely, and I swear, I saw some really familiar landmarks!!
On the package, it's labeled "conejo". I'm thinking, okay, that's similar to cojones, but it's not just the cojones we're looking at here!

conejo

So, I'm standing there awestruck and wondering what animal this big, gigantic, frozen conejo came from! And by the way, this thing is HUGE! And they managed to package and freeze it while still completely erect!!! OMG!!!!

After a few exclamations (out loud) over how crazy it is to find these huge frozen penises in the meat section, I finish my shopping and get on out of there. Still a bit in shock, though! I mean, my neighborhood is very international, with people representing every continent there is, and a myriad of cultures.... so, the culinary offerings here do tend to be extremely varied and exotic. But, WOW!, I've never even seen THIS in the meat section before!!

conejo

Anyway, after I get home I figure, let me Google 'conejo' and see what poor animal they took this thing off of, and Jesus Christ, in what manner do they prepare and serve it!?? omg!
Well, guess what? Turns out that 'conejo' means RABBIT.
Yes. Rabbit. I must now admit to having a seriously dumb moment back there at the supermarket!!! LOL!!! I don't have them often, but DAMN, that was a good one!!! LMAO! It was only rabbit, dammit! Not a big, giant, frozen animal penis like I thought! Duhhhhhhhhh! ;)
I seriously need to brush up on my Spanish!!!

Before I Was The Fitness Diva....

I was just a DIVA.......

.....with really highly piled hair!!

Look at that 'do. It's quite something, isn't it?? I must have had at least 10 inches going up on top there. Certainly enough to put Marie Antoinette, Queen Victoria and any of those other dames from that era to shame! ;)

Gotta love these old pics. They are too funny! ;)
