A Pink NFL - The NFL's "A Crucial Catch" Breast Cancer Campaign

As I watched the NY Jets game this Sunday I noticed that the majority of the players on the field are wearing pink shoes, have pink towels or have a pink accessories on their uniforms of some sort. It's quite the colorful spectacle! It's not football fashion gone feminine, though -- it's actually part of the NFL's "A Crucial Catch" campaign to keep awareness of the fight against breast cancer at a very high level. Kudos to them for doing this! The pink they are wearing during games is said to be a reminder to all of us to contribute to the cause, make sure that we and all the women we know get regular mammograms and to just do whatever we can to keep up the good fight against this disease.

Their website, NFL.com, will point you out to all types of resources and sources of info to help aid in the process. It's really great to see a guy's sport that cares about women's health. Not only for their loved ones, and all the women they know, and according to one player "I love boobies, so I'm all for it. It's a good thing." Ya just gotta love men, don't ya? Bless his boobalicious lovin' heart! ;)
And don't forget -- October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Be sure to get your mammogram and tell all the women you know to do it too! It can save your life!
