Parade of Champions..

I missed the Giants Superbowl Parade this morning because I had to work! I'm so pissed! I'da been there with blue, white and red paint on, like, "What?!". Seriously!

But I guess somebody had to keep the rest of the city running! We're all still basking in the glow of this great win, and talking trash by the minute. You know how we New Yorkers do! ;) Hey, bragging rights are sweet. We're gonna ride 'em til the wheels fall off! ;)

Meanwhile, back down on earth, we are experiencing some freakishly warm weather for January! I tried to wear a down jacket today, and ended up sweating my butt off! To tell the truth, this really is getting scary. I have lived in New York my whole life and have never seen weather like this. January is usually bitingly cold. You shouldn't be able to walk around with your coat hanging open. And a very light coat, at that. WTH is up with the global warming? Is it accelerating that fast? We'd better do something quick, folks.

In the end, it's not gonna be pretty. At all.

Yvonne,

Those whose factories are the biggest and grandest, those whose emissions are the blackest and dirtiest, those whose profits are based on the foulest and greediest of intentions are the ones who refuse to believe that drastic measures must be undertaken about global warming.

A lot of Americans and other big timers around the world delude themselves into believing that this is normal. They are in denial because they do not want to change their lifestyle nor reduce consumption - despite the obesity problems.

Anyway, think about this later after you enjoy what is left of the air of victory of the New York Giants! :-) --Durano, done!

Meh, I missed the parade as well. I wish I could have opened my office window and showered them with some shredded confetti, but had to make do with hearing the crowd cheer the champs on - as my office window doesn't open.

Hey, Andrew, you're luckier than I am. At least you were close enough to hear them roar! ;)

I miss those parades... Nobody does a celebration parade like New York!
Of course you can always paint yourself and take a picture for us ;)

The weather is totally screwy. I read that even if we could wave a magic wand and stop global warming tomorrow, it wouldn't make much impact since the damage has already been done for the next 50 yeas at least.
