Night Blading...

So, some of my roller blade buddies and I were out in Central Park the other night, and I just have to say, Central Park is BANGIN'!! It is just one of the most amazing places in the world to me. Once saddled with a bad reputation and thought of as a place where one had to worry about muggings, assaults and other crimes, the past 20+ years have seen our park go through some great changes. For one thing, when you go in there at night, there are lights everywhere! It's lit up like Christmas! What I love about it most is that after dark, you can find large numbers of bikers, bladers, runners and all manner of people just hanging out and enjoying the view like it's the middle of the afternoon. That's New York, baby! We really NEVER sleep! ;)

Me and my crazy night blading friends. We just look tough as hell, don't we? ;)

I think we look like a roller blading Super Hero team. Hmmmm.... wonder what my super power would be..... ;)

Here is a shot I took of the duck pond at night. What you're looking at is the reflection of the park lights on the pond, with the tops of Upper East Side high rises peeking over the tops of the trees. I put my camera on the Twilight setting to get this shot, and it came out kind of crazy, but I like it! ;)

Central Park is really so beautiful at night. My meager picture just can't even begin to capture it!

I wish i know how to roller blade... when I was a kid, I never had the chance to learn that thing... Anyways, thanks for dropping by at my blog... See you around! :)

Central park has got much better and thank goodness for that. It's such a nice place that you can almost forget you're in a big city. One place that was not nice back when I was in NYC was Washington Square Park. Not big but drug dealers everywhere and a few guys tried to call me out for a fight. That was around 99-00.

You have one mean looking crew there.

Yes you all do Fitness Diva. You all look like a fitness gang on blades, lol!.

Wonderful to have friends that participate in activities as such together.
