Skinny Girl Margarita, Anyone?

Bethenney Frankel
Bethenney Frankel of The Real Housewives of New York and inventor of the "Skinny Girl Margarita", is working on an entire line of low calorie cocktails, soon to be available at an upscale bar/lounge near you. I think it's a good thing, being a part time party girl, myself. Who couldn't use a little help shaving off those unnecessary calories while having a good time? She's also invented a low calorie Mojito. Sounds interesting!

Here is the recipe for her Skinnygirl Margarita:

2 oz Clear Premium Tequila

Tiny splash of Orange Liquer

Juice of four Fresh Lime Wedges

Combine all ingredients over a glass of ice and garnish with a lime wedge

Makes one serving

I'm thinking that the lesser calorie count is due to a scanter dose of the triple sec (orange liquer) and using fresh lime juice instead of margarita mix.

Next time I'm out, I'll definitely try one of these!

I love Bethenney! It's a guilty pleasure, but I watch her on Real Housewives of NY. I tried this drink last year, they are tasty and light, but don't expect them to taste like restaurant style Margaritas.

I suppose this would be more important if someone were an alcoholic------ but really how many of these would someone drink?? I guess "cutting calories" helps with the guilt thing? I don't get it.

I love these ideas! I could use these to have a great girls cocktail party.

Love skinny girl margaritas! And now it conveniently comes in a bottle that doesn't have to be mixed with anything else. Just pour and drink! :)
