Naomi Campbell Makes Good...

And you thought she was just hell on wheels 24-7. Not so! As much has been publicized about her tirades and anger outbursts against assistants and such, it should also be known that the model is very involved in many humanitarian efforts, her latest being establishing both a rehabilitation center and school in Nairobi, Kenya.

As reported by Paul Gitau And Kipchumba Kemei:

International super model, Ms Naomi Campbell will establish a drug rehabilitation centre and modeling school in Kenya.
Campbell, who arrived in Malindi on Friday in a private jet, said she was discussing the matter with a prominent person in Nairobi.

She was addressing a news conference on Monday at Lion in the Sun Hotel in Casuarina, Malindi, where she spent the Easter holiday.
Campbell said: "I decided to establish a rehabilitation centre after seeing many productive people get addicted."
She urged foreigners to tour Kenya. (more)

Way to go, Naomi! We know there's a heart under that bad girl exterior! ;)

Hi Fitness Diva,

I've always liked Naomi Campbell and I never gave those much publicized temper tantrums a lot of thought. People who want to accomplish much, especially for others sometimes get impatient if things are not carried out correctly. Call it being a perfectionist or just plain respect and courtesy to the receiver of the output, with the giver's name on it.

Now she's into humanitarian work too, that's great. I believe that those who have been blessed in life should have a cause they are advocating. It's a way of giving back to the world; a small contribution to make it better for others. :-) --Durano, done!

This is the only place I've read about this at. She doesn't get enough good press. But I'm glad you put me on.

I agree. Stories you read in the press about these people tend to have the author's own spin on it most of the time, and that always tends toward what's more sensational and controversial. And, the thing is, we are never there to know what really went down in these incidents.

Yeah, you would think that she would get SOME press for this (I'm sure she did in the African press and media, for sure), but at the end of the day, most prefer to shed light on the negative.

Judging from the latest news about Naomi spitting at a cop in an airport, I'm guessing there might be a delay in the building of this rehab center and school in Kenya....

This one is definitely a wait and see...

Crazy ass girl.
