OK, I've been tagged!

I usually don't do tags and such, but the two bloggers that tagged me, Dori and Heidi, are two people whose blogs I enjoy, so I just can't let them down! lol
Ok....I'm supposed to list 7 random things about myself that you might not know.
Here goes:

1. I moved out of my Mom's house and got my first apartment on my 18th birthday. Couldn't stand being told what to do, so, already with a steady job, and having saved up, I had a place ready and my bags packed by the door on that very morning. I had repeatedly told my Mom for as long as I could remember "As soon as I turn 18, I'm outta here!", and damned if I didn't do it! I'm big on making statements! ;)

2. I'm the only girl in my family, and I'm also the oldest. I have four younger brothers. Might explain why I can be just a bit bossy! I guess I picked the right profession, eh? ;)

3. I can eat the same exact thing for 8 or 9 days in a row before I get sick of it. In the past, I have eaten spaghetti for 10 days straight, fried pork chops every day for more than a week, franks and beans every day & macaroni and cheese for more than a week straight. For each meal. Many times! Those were not the healthiest of years for me, to say the least! ;)

4. My grandma didn't get married until she was 27. Back in the 1940's, that was unheard of! She also worked, and had her own place until she married, and my grandpa had to work really hard to get her! A woman way ahead of her time!
Hmmmm.... wonder where I get it from? ;)

5. The only things I'm afraid of are death by fire and boogers. No fear of heights, animals, water, snakes, blood and guts....nope. But if you pick your nose around me, I have to get up and leave. And I won't ever let you touch me again, either. lol! I once broke up with a guy for picking his nose.
I'm also deathly afraid of getting a booger flicked on me. If I see someone picking their nose and smearing the boogers on the furniture and things around them, I lose it. I must flee the area immediately, or I'll get nauseous.
Now, my own snot is just fine with me. I just can't stand other people's!

6. I sleep with the air on, even in the winter. Just love the feeling of being snuggled up under thick covers in a cold room. Boyfriends of the past have had a BIG problem with this!

7. I completely melt at the sight of a cat or kitten. Wanna butter me up and get me to agree with anything you say or want to do? Just stick a kitty in my arms. I love them to death, and have always had cats in my life since I was a little girl. They're the best!

So, there you have it! 7 random facts about me! Hope you all don't think I'm crazy! ;)

Oh, those facts are so cute. Heidi tagged me too, but I haven't taken the time to come up with anything anyone would even care about! LOL I love your blog, BTW!
(I too, love it cold and would run my air all the time if it wasn't so expensive in So.Cal. I once had a $978 electric bill!!!!) I also love kitties and can eat the same thing over and over and not get tired of it. My family calls them food "jags". LOL

Thanks, Nancy ellyn!

A food jag is a good name for it! I'll have to use that.... lol

Electricity is expensive here in New York, too, so I run this really powerful fan that sits on my dresser pointed right at the bed. NICE! :D
I'd fall out if I ever got an electric bill as big as that one you got! That would mean no more air for me! :O

Thanks so much for stopping by!

So funny about the being able to eat the same food for 9 or 10 days straight and I am with you about the cats. I am not going to even say how many I have! It is so fun to see your personality!

fear of death by fire and boogers? hehe... Umm... I can help you with that.

Hey Fitness Diva, I'm digging your blogs. By the way, thanks for visiting mine. Nice to have your presence there!

I enjoyed reading your list! I also like to sleep in a cold room and I absolutely love kitties! Heidi tagged me also but I'm just not near as interesting as you two are but I will think of something and post it in the near future. Also, thank you for visiting my blog!

Hi fitness diva,
Thanks for sharing more about yourself. Wow, moving out of the house at age 18 on your own. There was a lot of planning you did to achieve that. That would of been scary for me to do. I have 3 brothers and I am the only girl, but I am the 2nd oldest. Fear of death by fire would be a terrible way to die. I would try not to even think about that. I am one to give advice on that, not I am afraid to die. The thought of not breathing and under the ground does not make me happy. On a bright note, my family loves cats too. I really appreciate your comments, entrecard drops and visits to my blog. Have a wonderful day! :-)

I love your seven things. I also love kittens...so cute. And I am just like that about keeping things chilled out. I love turning on the air or a fan and then I snuggle up under blankets. I thought I was the only one. LOL. :-)

Hi diva!
thnaks for stopping by my blog..i like your blogs..and your independent streak too..

i live in a country where its not considered good to move out of your parents house but i swear i would love to do that....it gives me a thrill to be all by my own and doing whatever i want with no one telling me what i ought to do!!!!!!!!

i am fond of dogs though...and deathly scared of closed spaces...need access to the skies to survive!!!!!!!!!!!

I likes eating the same foods every single day. As long as it is delicious and nutritious! My new vet is a "holistic" vet and he put Harley and I both on grain-free meat based foods. We eat EVO canned food morning and evening, and a very small amount of dry Wellness CORE foods at night. We feel good!

Hi Fitness Diva,

Boogers! LOL!

Does that mean that if you confront someone who crossed you real bad, all he/she has to do is pick his/her nose and you would scamper away? That must be your kryptonite!

I see people pick their noses while driving and then wipe the thing in the bottom of their seats. Some though open their windows and flick it out somewhere.

Your personal history have many examples that characterize your strong determination to be independent and self-fulfilled. It is reflected in your forceful but balanced style that also shows a healthy attitude and an open mind. Moreover a confident kind of humor expressed without hesitation adds a positive dimension to your total personality.

I'm glad to know you. :-) --Durano, done!

Neat info about your grandmother. LOL about the boogers! Very funny. I can't stand eating the same thing for more than three days and I'm surprised past boyfriends didn't like it cool. I'm the eldest out of four and only girl too. Great list Fitness Diva! :)

Hey we have some things in common. I can eat the same thing for days and days on end. AND I'm afraid of death by boggers...although it made me laugh when I first read it!

Cool facts!
I like the one about your grandma! That is indeed very unusual! My grandma is very old (91 yrs old!) but she married age 20, or something. Age 27 back then is like age 60+ today! Hehe
