Exergaming Kids Fitness

While it's not like the gym class that I both loved and loathed, this innovative way of getting kids more into being fit and active is something that really should be explored as another way to get kids up off the couch and excited about exercising.
While some might not think that this is a good subtitute for traditional team sports and exercise, I think it's great! All you have to do is look at the enthusiasm on these little faces to know that this school is definitely on the right track! ;)

The whole Dance Revolution thing has been in the news in my state for like a year or so now. There are a few school in Michigan who opted to use that game to get kids to exercise. I don't really see anything wrong with it. Yea the kids should be out getting fresh air with their exercise but as long their moving then go with what works best. It's like the lesser of two evils right? That's how I see it anyway.

I think it's a wonderful idea. Sometimes you just have to change with the times. Kids today have are the "gaming generation", and if that's the best way to relate to them and get them more excited about being active, then so be it.
It's just too bad that most schools can't afford to provide this for their students.
