OMG, Why Did I Even Start????

This is one of those cases of "never shoulda bought it in the first place". What was I thinking??? I am now addicted to these tasty little things!

toaster strudel

Strawberry and cream cheese Toaster Strudel!! I've been passing my eyes right over this box and that cheeky little Pillsbury Doughboy for years, and never felt the urge to buy it. But on a whim, I decided to pick them up after thinking how good it would be to maybe have a hot danish with some ice cream on it. Here was the next best thing, complete with its own icing to spread on it fresh out of the oven. They are so good, they made me forget what I really wanted in the first place. Although I am tempted to go get some vanilla ice cream, stack two of these hot babies on top of each other and race to eat the ice cream as it melts down the sides.....
In the past week, I have already gone through a box and a half of these things! (I had to go back and restock!). I in beeg trouble!! :D

Thank God for the gym!! (It's right down the street from my house). I hope to get over these pastries soon, though. There's only so much jumping rope and treadmilling that one body can stand!! ;)

Maybe you can limit eating these to once a week--a cheat meal :)

Kev, once this little binge is over, I'm not going to touch them again for at least a year, I swear! I know my weakness!! ;)

I am waging a similar war with blueberry scones. Fight the good fight. :-)

It must be winter over there! Here in Australia the sun is out and the fruit is Deee-lish!
When the weather cools down for me that's when my 'alter ego' comes out. Just remember aminute on the lips... a lifetime on the hips.

PS one toaster strudel has 190 cals, thats a 40min slow jog - is it really worth it???

That looked like a very sinful treat to me. :)

Isn't it funny how easy it is to resist something until you take that first bite?!

You have my sympathy...I know from experience that once I eat something like that it is difficult to stop!!!

I think we all have those kinds of cravings now and then for many reasons...you are a very disciplined woman once you have had your fill you will be alright...I'm sure of it!!!

Cheers

I quite like the mindset of having to 'earn your food'. If you've exercised lots maybe indulge a little, if you've not done anything today.. then take it easy on the calories. Looks like my martial arts session tonight is going to be a tough one! : )

Wow, thank goodness I am gluten intolerant and live in stockholm now. Otherwise I know I would be stoppin by the grocery store to pick up a few packs. They have cream cheese now! That's just not right!

Luckily I've only been able to find the plain strawberry ones around here - no cream cheese.
They are dangerous!

It's been a long time since I've vistited! We love Toaster Strudle at our house too. With 7 of us, when everyone has one, there's only one left if the box. That means I have to buy a few boxes at a time, that is if I want to eat at least one.

And they are delicious, as well as habit forming. It looks like you'll be jumproping, and treadmilling for a while. Merry go round and round!

Thanks for sharing experience. I anticipate it's acceptable to accumulate cerebration about the gym and jump roping.

From my point of view it's good to keep thinking about the gym and jump roping. It make our body strong and fit. So there is one slogan "EAT HEALTHY AND STAY HEALTHY". Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with us. Keep blogging.

This is my favorite strawberry creamcheese strudel. I believe that having discipline in what you eat will still keep you fit. Having a bite of it will satisfy me
