Fantasia Looks Fantasic!

I got a good look at American Idol's season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino on her new reality show, "Fantasia For Real". The show is actually good, and without even intending to, I ended up watching it on one of those marathon runs they do on the weekends. I have seen lots of pics of Fantasia since she won idol, and I gotta tell ya, she was getting pretty heavy there for a while. Almost every pic I saw of her showed a puffy, lumpy, not so pleasingly plump girl, and while no one is perfect, when you live your life on the stage, I'm sorry, you do need to be a bit more body conscious than the next person. Judging by what earlier pics of her showed, there was not one iota of attention paid to diet and exercise on her part.
Well, no more of that! The 2010 version of Fantasia is lean, slim and tight!
How did she do it? According to Fantasia, she now works out every day and has added some salad to her diet. She says that while she still craves some of that good southern food which tends to put that weight on thick, she has learned to be a bit more disciplined and say no to those high calorie dishes more often than not. Good for her, and a great habit for her to pick up at such a young age. It starts right here...the earlier you get on the health and fitness train, the better!
Kudos to Fantasia, and may she keep it up! Lookin' good, girl! ;)

I think fame forces you to go slender. Either they go on a diet or have surgery. Pretty much the deal.

She was on Oprah recently too, she was a apparently a big stress eater, and said that when she put herself first, the weight began to come off.I wish I had known the marathon was on, I would have like to have seen some of it.
I saw her on Oprah as well. Vet tech is right, she was doing everything for everyone except herself. Once she put her priorities in order, everything started to come together. Good for her........
Vet and Reality, this show is actually a good bird's eye view into what happens when one member of a family is suddenly "in the money", or suddenly famous. Everyone expects something from you, and that it's now your responsibility to put them on "easy street". And both brothers being jealous of her fame and position....hmmmmm....
It's just natural humanness, I know, but wow! When you make it, even those closest to you can turn out to be your biggest enemies, or at the very least become a drain on you emotionally.
That Teeny (her layabout brother) needs to get a JOB!!! I'm just sayin!! ;) lol
I'm glad she's taking control and putting her foot down. It will be best for her and her family in the end. That will help keep all that stress eating at bay!
She does indeed look great these days. She's from the same city I did part of my growing up in in High Point, NC.
It's great because there's a sign now when you enter saying "Welcome to High Point, NC. Home of 2004 American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino". The only other thing about the city is the furniture market. LOL!
I'm glad she's in control of her life and weight as well.

Oh my! That before pic is a real shocker, I mean I noticed she was putting on weight but that pic says it all. Good for her on losing all that weight, she will inspire me to continue with my diet! :)
She is a very attractive woman, now. I think what the Fitness Diva said about someone suddenly becoming famous was spot on.

In terms of whether she had something done or actually lost her weight, I agree with one of the previous comments - when you're in Hollywood/under the limelight or you just need it really bad, cosmetic surgery is a pretty feasible option. Great post!
