For Love of Sushi..
I'm a sushi girl, BIG TIME. I can eat a ton of it. I once went to an all you can eat sushi buffet and almost killed myself. However, when you're cutting those calories, and watching your carbs, sushi is NOT the way to go. It's more of a reward or a treat. And I wouldn't do it more than once a month when on a diet. So, yesterday, I had my little reward of the most awesome sushi EVER! And the fact that I haven't had it in a long while made it all the better. The sushi chef had to hide his smile as I sat there with my eyes rolling back in my head with every piece I ate. YUM!
So, of course I'm calorie sniping right now, so although I enjoyed my sushi unrestrainedly, I figured that getting the goods on sushi calorie content would be a good idea. So, here's the rundown on the calories you consume when you eat sushi, sashimi, and a few other Japanese restaurant delights.

HI Fitness Diva,
I have a salivating feeling everytime I think of sushi or sashimi. What I do is I take the miso soup first, and in-between sips take pieces of sushi or sashimi. To me it's a delight and a lot of pleasure.
That thief who is such a low life thinks he's real smart about being able to take rubber gloves from anywhere. He's a loser.
I got stuck in a doctors office once waiting for my turn in an ante-room much like you described. It went past over 2:00 PM and I was very hungry. Then a pizza delivery appeared, the doctor's nurse comes out with a plate and puts 2 pieces in it for the doctor. I don't know what he was doing but to eat pizza in the middle of it, ugh!
But then the pizza.s odor wafted through the room making me salivate for it. I was tempted to get a piece. Then the nurse came out to tell me the appointment has to be moved. So I left, and proceeded to a pizza parlor to satisfy my hunger - prodded by the smell of cheese.
Heaven knows what I would have done if the food delivered was sushi or sashimi. LOL! :-) --Durano, done!
We have too much in common. You're scaring me. LOL
I love me some Sushi. But I haven't had it in a while. Last time was at your favorite spot, Whole Foods. I sat at the bar there and hat some sushi and miso soup.
Hey, Durano...getting away with a slice of pizza would have been difficult. You would have had to wolf it down in two bites like a dog!
Then, there's the sauce and oil left around the mouth to give you away. lol!
Hey,Urban, I could actually get fat off sushi, because I'd eat it every day if I didn't have other bills to pay! :)

Hey Fitness Diva,
You'll have to come to Sydney and visit my gym. It is located on the edge of Chinatown. Its Sushi Heaven! I must have about 10 different sushi restaurants nearby. The only problem is I've overloaded and now I can't stomach it! Your tip of once per month is a good one... no more raw fish for me... for now!
Ha ha, Amelia! I know what it's like to do something so much that you actually can't take it anymore!
I've yet to reach that limit with sushi, though (for one thing, it's SO darned expensive!).
I had no idea that the sushi craze is also alive and well in Australia. I'll have to keep that in mind! ;)
